Hello everyone! My name is Jennifer and I am a SAHM but also a WAHM. We all know that when we clean we sometimes get that feeling that we don't feel right, something is burning your eyes, when you breath your lungs hurt, you feel dizzy, or your hands are burning. Sometimes you know you have to make sure your children shouldn't be in the same room when you are cleaning because you don't want them breathing in the cleaner. Well take a second and think about it.....

Why in the world would you you want to breath in something that you don't want your children breathing? Why do we keep cleaning with the same things that hurt us in one certain form or another? We are all told that second hand smoke is toxic to us what about second hand cleaning fumes?


Well, I have the answer to all those questions?
The first one because while growing up we all watched our mothers, grandmothers and everyone else clean with the same products that we clean with now. And the answer to the last question is because you hear more on the news about the tabbacoo companies having to pay out a lot of money to peoples families for the person dieing because of lung cancer caused from smoke, and we never hear of someone dieing or suing the Clorox, 409, Johnson and Johnson, Proctor and Gamble and etc. for long term effects of the cleaning products.

Toxic Ingredients in Personal Care Products
The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) analyzed 2,983 chemicals used in personal care products. The results were as follows:

• 884 of the chemicals were toxic
• 314 caused biological mutation
• 218 caused reproductive complications
• 778 caused acute toxicity
• 148 caused tumors
• 376 caused skin and eye irritations.

A 15-year study revealed that women who work at home have a 54% higher death rate from cancer than women who work outside the home. This has been directly linked to the high concentration of harsh chemicals in the home.
